Service 01Websites

Websites that earn the kitchen’s quoted price.

Every site we build starts with your portfolio and your ideal buyer — not with a template. The result is a website that makes a £50,000 kitchen feel like the obvious decision.

Why this matters

Kitchen studio websites fail in a specific way.

They’re built by a family member, or by a generalist web developer who did a plumber’s site last week. The photography budget went to the kitchens themselves, so the portfolio is thin or non-existent. They rank for nothing, because the agency that built them didn’t understand that bespoke kitchens are a local-search game, not a national one.

And when a homeowner making a £50,000 decision lands on the homepage, the site doesn’t match the quality of the kitchens it’s trying to sell. Eight seconds later they’re on Tom Howley’s site instead.

The gap between your craftsmanship and your website is also the gap between your enquiry volume and theirs.

What we build

Three tiers. Same specification. Different scope.

Every build follows the same operational specification — the differences between tiers are scope, not corner-cutting. A smaller build at the Essential tier ships to the same quality bar as the Flagship tier; it just ships fewer pages and doesn’t include custom interactive elements.

Website build tiers pair with retainer packages — your chosen retainer determines the build scope. Essential + Foundation, Signature + Growth, Flagship + Dominance.

Essential

From £2,200 one-off

4–5 weeks · 12–18 pages

Pairs with the Foundation retainer. For studios validating the channel.

  • Home, 3–4 service pages, portfolio with up to 15 case studies
  • About, showroom, contact, legal pages
  • Google Business Profile fully optimised
  • GA4 + call tracking with dynamic number insertion
  • Basic schema markup (Organization, LocalBusiness)

Signature

From £4,000 one-off

6–8 weeks · 25–40 pages

Pairs with the Growth retainer. For studios committing to SEO as a long-term growth channel. Recommended for most.

  • Everything in Essential
  • Full style/service pages (shaker, in-frame, handleless, contemporary, utility, pantry, island design)
  • Up to 12 unique area pages covering your target catchment
  • Brochure download funnel with email capture
  • Journal / blog template
  • Comprehensive FAQ architecture
  • Advanced schema (LocalBusiness + Service + Review + FAQPage on relevant pages)
  • Interiors photography coordination

Flagship

From £7,500 one-off

10–14 weeks · 40+ pages

Pairs with the Dominance retainer. For studios that are or want to be the best-known name in their region.

  • Everything in Signature
  • Custom interactive elements (project configurator, mood-board builder, or similar)
  • Multi-audience architecture — consumer and trade journeys running in parallel
  • Full interiors photography shoot coordination (2–4 shoot days)
  • Advanced A/B testing infrastructure
  • Quarterly content architecture review

The standards we ship to

Non-negotiable on every build, from Essential to Flagship.

Core Web Vitals
LCP under 2s, INP under 200ms, CLS under 0.05, measured on a mid-tier Android over 4G — not on a MacBook over fibre.
Accessibility
WCAG 2.2 AA — contrast, alt text on every image, semantic headings, full keyboard navigation, WAVE scan clean.
Responsive design
Tested at five breakpoints — 375, 768, 1024, 1440, 1920px. iPad is a primary device for affluent buyers; we design and test for it explicitly.
SEO foundations
Clean URL structure, canonical tags, XML sitemap, robots.txt, 301 redirect map preserving any existing equity, validated schema markup.
Tracking stack
GA4 + Google Tag Manager + call tracking (WhatConverts or CallRail) with dynamic number insertion, Microsoft Clarity for heatmaps and session recordings.
Forms
Honeypot or hCaptcha anti-spam, auto-responder within 60 seconds, submissions tracked in GA4 and forwarded to your CRM or sheet.
Security and compliance
SSL, HSTS, 2FA on CMS, daily offsite backups with 30-day retention, cookie banner, privacy policy that accurately reflects the tracking stack.

The platform

We standardise on Webflow for bespoke kitchen sites.

The platform choice matters more than most agencies admit. A WordPress site built with a page builder plugin and twenty other plugins to make it performant is a maintenance burden from day one and a security surface forever. Webflow is the cleanest alternative we’ve found for design-led, portfolio-heavy sites at this scale.

It wins on four axes: design fidelity (what we design in Figma ships pixel-perfect, not approximated); speed by default (Core Web Vitals are handled, not engineered); client editability (an intuitive CMS you update without fear of breaking anything); and near-zero plugin risk (no security patches to chase, no plugin conflicts to debug).

We’ll only recommend WordPress if you have a mature WordPress install with significant content that can’t be economically migrated. In four years of operation we’ve found one such case.

Post-launch

A website isn’t finished on launch day. It’s optimised for 90 days after.

Every retainer includes a structured optimisation sprint designed to convert the insights of real user data into shipped improvements.

  1. Day 30

    Data review and first fixes

Review of GA4 sessions, conversion events, and Microsoft Clarity heatmaps. Identify three pages with unexpectedly low engagement or high rage-click rates. Ship two to three targeted fixes.

  2. Day 60

    A/B test the hero

Structured A/B test on the homepage hero headline and primary CTA wording. Small copy changes here produce 20–40% conversion lifts in our experience.

  3. Day 90

    Full funnel audit

Review of every form and call conversion by source. Kill or optimise underperforming landing pages. Brief the next 90 days of conversion-rate-optimisation work and agree the priorities with you.

Standards comparison

The specific ways a Patina Digital site differs from a typical kitchen studio site.

Every row below is factual and measurable, not marketing claim. If a feature already exists on your current site to this standard, we won't duplicate it; we'll tell you on the first call.

Typical kitchen studio site

Patina Digital

Built on WordPress with a page-builder plugin by a friend or generalist developer.
Built on Webflow by a senior developer with hand-coded interactions where the template system falls short.
Core Web Vitals red (LCP 3–5s, CLS 0.15+) on mobile.
Core Web Vitals green by default (LCP < 2s, INP < 200ms, CLS < 0.05), measured on mid-tier Android over 4G.
No structured schema markup. Google sees the site as a generic webpage.
Full schema: Organization, LocalBusiness, Service, Review, FAQPage, BreadcrumbList — validated through Google’s Rich Results Test before launch.
Form submits to a single contact email. No confirmation to the visitor.
Form submits to CRM + GA4 event + Google Ads conversion. Auto-responder email arrives within 60 seconds.
Same phone number for all visitors. No call attribution.
Dynamic number insertion: the phone number on the site changes based on traffic source, so every call attributes correctly.
Photography is iPhone-grade with bad lighting, no styling. Undermines the quoted price.
Interiors photography coordinated (or existing photography directed) with a shot list built around hero wides, details, and lifestyle frames.
Accessibility untested. Contrast fails, alt text missing, keyboard navigation broken.
WCAG 2.2 AA compliant. WAVE scan clean. Keyboard navigation tested end-to-end before launch.
Desktop-only testing. iPad (a primary device for affluent buyers) looks broken.
Responsive at five breakpoints — 375, 768, 1024, 1440, 1920px. iPad tested explicitly.

Questions about the build

What most studios ask before they commit.

  • Four reasons. Design fidelity — what we design in Figma comes out pixel-perfect on the live site, not approximated. Speed — Core Web Vitals are handled by default rather than engineered in. Maintenance — near-zero plugin risk, no security surface to monitor, no PHP upgrades to schedule. Client editing — an intuitive CMS you can update without fear of breaking anything. We'll only recommend WordPress if you have a mature existing WordPress install with significant content that can't be economically migrated.

  • Strongly recommended. Kitchen studio websites fail or succeed on photography; a beautifully-designed site on top of iPhone photos reads as cheap and makes your quoted prices look unearned. A proper interiors shoot costs £1,200–3,000 per day and typically covers one to two kitchens per day. If photography isn't in the budget yet, we'll sometimes recommend waiting a quarter to reshoot rather than launching with what you have. Building a portfolio-first site around weak photography is worse than building nothing.

  • Essential is 12–18 pages: home, 3–4 service pages, a portfolio with up to 15 case studies, about, showroom, contact, legal. Signature is 25–40 pages: adds full style and service pages, up to 12 area pages, a brochure download funnel, a journal, and a fuller FAQ. Flagship is 40+ pages: adds custom interactive elements, multi-audience architecture (consumer and trade), and full photography coordination. Additional case study pages after launch are £280 each on the retainer, or included in monthly content allowance.

  • The site goes live with a 301 redirect map preserving any existing SEO equity. The XML sitemap is submitted to Google Search Console and Bing Webmaster Tools. GA4 event tracking is verified. Call tracking numbers go live. Schema is validated via Google's Rich Results Test. The old site is archived. You get a 60–90 minute CMS training session, plus Loom video backups of everything. And the 30/60/90 CRO sprint starts the same day.

  • Yes. Webflow's CMS is designed for non-technical editors. You'll be able to add new case studies, update team bios, change pricing, rewrite service copy, and update photography without touching any code. The training session covers every edit pattern you'll realistically need. Structural changes — adding new page templates, redesigning sections, adding new collections — are billed at a standard dev rate or covered by the retainer depending on scope.

  • The domain stays in your name from day one. The Webflow account is transferable. You can export the site's code (HTML/CSS/JS) and rehost it on any static host; you can also keep it on Webflow and simply remove us from account access. We build to be portable — no hostage-taking, no lock-in, no dependencies we don't disclose upfront.
